English version follows below

Hier unsere Top 5 Lessons Learned

  1. 2 %
  2. 10 %
  3. 20 %

Die Antwort finden Sie am Ende des Textes.

It was beautiful!

Richtige Antwort ist a. (2%). Es gibt ca. 7000 Sprachen auf der Welt.

Frohe Weihnachten!

Christmas party: 5 lessons learned

On 09.12 the Christmas party of the International Support Service took place. Herewith we would like to share with you our 5 lessons learned:

Top Five Lessons learned from the „Christmas Party“:

  1. You can learn new things everywhere

Learning something is usually a part of everyday student life: learning to practice, learning to test. Learning can be done not in terms of the study process, but also to expand their knowledge horizons. Have you heard about the concept of „lifelong learning“? Lifelong learning, that is, personal readiness to face changing conditions in all areas of life, to remain curious and actively shape the personal and social environment. During the celebration we learned new knowledge about Christmas: although it seems that we already know everything about it.

Did you know that 151 million (!) chocolate Santa Clauses are produced in Germany every year? Neither did we!

Here we have also prepared a question for you:

How many Germans already ordered the Christmas tree online?

  1. 2 %

      2. 10 %

      3. 20 %

You can find the answer below.

  1. Every new foreign language is like an open window

…that opens a new perspective on the world and broadens your outlook on life.

Our team speaks a total of seven different foreign languages. Our students come from all over the world. Each student with his culture, with his vision of the world. This exchange is indeed enriching. The Christmas celebration was in two languages. We had this idea a long time ago: our students know German and English in different ways and this time we did not want to choose one or the other language.

Speaking of which, how many foreign languages are there in the world?

You can find the answer below.

  1. Singing can also speak

Of course, Christmas party also includes Christmas songs! We heard different songs in different languages and had to guess the language. For example, there was a sorrow in Yoruba, which is a language from Nigeria. All songs have one thing in common: Christmas spirit. You don’t have to understand a language to recognize the mood.

We also sang the Christmas classic „Silent Night“ in different languages. Nevertheless, each language has its own charm. Each language brings its own culture. And we think, it is beautiful.

  1. Creative together

Have you ever tried to write a poem creatively in a foreign language? We summarize it for you: incredibly funny, creative and just a lot of fun. If you think you can’t do it. We thought so too. Only thing you need is people…and some mulled wine.

  1. Meet people also virtually

Because of the Corona situation, we are not allowed to meet on site. But that was no problem for us, 45 people were there! The Corona has changed many ordinary things. What used to be normal is not allowed now. But it’s still no reason to miss out, there’s always an alternative!

Answers to the quiz:

Correct answer is a. (2%). There are about 7000 languages in the world.

Merry Christmas!
