Auch im Sommersemester 2021 gelang es den Projektteams zur Förderung der Integration von Geflüchteten ins Studium (finanziert durch den DAAD aus Mitteln des BMBF) und in Bezug auf die Unterstützung für internationale Vollstudierende erfolgreich neue Angebote zu schaffen. Hier geht’s zum Video.

Im Überblick:

  • Virtuelle Austauschrunden mit Universitätspräsident Prof. Dr. Ulrich Bartosch und der Vizepräsidentin für Internationales und Diversity, Prof. Dr. Christina Hansen, mit internationalen Erstsemestern (in Kooperation mit dem Akademischen Auslandsamt)
  • Erste Ausgabe von „Berufe im Profil international“ mit einer Präsentation zweier Alumni zum Thema Data Science (in Kooperation mit dem Zentrum für Karriere und Kompetenzen)
  • Einführung des digitalen Workflow für das Berufsorientierungsprogramm für internationale Studierende, iStudi-Pass, in ILIAS (im Rahmen von DLMP)
  • Launch des mehrsprachigen Instagram-Accounts @refugee.programme mit Content für internationale und geflüchtete Studierende (in Kooperation mit der Kommunikationsabteilung)
  • Auftaktveranstaltung und erste Aktion des Ehrenamtprogramms „All you can do“ (in Kooperation mit der Ideenwerkstatt des Lehrstuhls für Interkulturelle Kommunikation und TRIO)
  • Folge 41 im Podcast How to Wiwi über Angebote für Internationals an der Uni Passau (in Kooperation mit der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät)

Different project teams to forster integration of refugee students at University (funded by the German Academic Exchange Service with funds from the Federal Ministry of Education) and the support for international degree-seeking students were able to reach the next level by creating new formats during the summer term 2021. Watch our recap video.

These are the highlights:

  • In a virtual get-together with the University President, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Bartosch, and the Vice President for International Affairs and Diversity, Prof. Dr. Christina Hansen, first-semester students talked about their start (cooperation with the International Office).
  • Two international alumni shared their experience as data scientists within the „Professional Profiles“ series (cooperating with the Centre for Careers and Competencies).
  • We have transferred the iStudi Pass, career orientation programme for international students, to an all-digital workflow on ILIAS (cooperating with DLMP).
  • We have launched our multilingual Instagram account @refugee.programme providing content for international and refugee students (cooperating with the Communication and Marketing department).
  • After a kick-off we had our first workshop within the new volunteering programme „All You Can Do“ (cooperating with the „lab of ideas“ by the Chair of Intercultural Communication and TRIO).
  • We recorded episode 41 of the podcast „How to Wiwi“ on our supporting structures for internationals (cooperating with the School for Business Administration and Economics).
